With the continuous development of the mobile robot industry, its application scope is increasingly expanding, and therefore the technical requirements for the perception system of robots are gradually increasing.Among them, 3D sensors based on the ToF technology route have gradually attracted the attention of mobile robot companies in the past two years due to their multiple advantages such as strong resistance to light interference, fast response speed, and high recognition accuracy.

Taking unmanned forklifts as an example, traditional solutions usually separate obstacle avoidance and navigation configurations. Manufacturers choose different navigation and obstacle avoidance products based on different functional requirements. Currently, a single unmanned forklift needs to be equipped with multiple LiDARs and other auxiliary sensors. Relying on quantity stacking not only incurs high costs, but also requires user platforms to adapt to SDKs from different manufacturers, resulting in low integration and complex compatibility and docking, which brings great inconvenience in practical use.

The industry has been seeking efficient and low-cost solutions, hoping to reduce the number of sensors carried by vehicles in order to lower costs, but at the same time, it is necessary to ensure that robots can achieve the best navigation and obstacle avoidance effect. On the carrier that combines obstacle avoidance and navigation functions, solid-state LiDAR has become one of the directions explored in the industry. The pure solid-state LiDAR provides very high reliability for AGV/AMR robots without any moving parts.

The two depth imaging LiDARs provided by LEIMOU are different from traditional single line LiDARs. They present three-dimensional images of objects based on time flight method and can simultaneously output depth and IR point cloud data. One scan, direct imaging, compatible with various AGV/AMR models.
